This handcrafted ceramic tray by local artist Adam Egenolf features crystalline bursts of teal on a caramel-colored background. Growing crystals in the glazes with the use of different oxides as well as rare earth metals allows Egenolf to manipulate the clay surface to look organic and alive. Each one of Egenolf's pieces are one-of-a-kind.
Adam Egenolf is a full-time crystalline ceramicist. He received his BA in studio art from the University of Southern Indiana and MFA in Ceramics from Eastern Carolina University. He currently works out of Nineveh, Indiana.
