Jean-Michel Basquiat
One of the preeminent artists of the Neo-Expressionist movement, Jean-Michel Basquiat (American, 1960–1988) was famous for his raw, primitive art style, as well as his collaborations with artists such as Andy Warhol and Keith Haring. During his short life, he exhibited around the world, becoming the youngest artist to ever exhibit at the Kestner-Gesellschaft Gallery in Hanover, Germany. He remains one of the 1980s' most well-know and influential artists today.
