    Yayoi Kusama

Yayoi Kusama (Japanese, b. 1929) is a contemporary artist whose prolific art career spans back to the mid-20th century. She was a major figure in the Pop Art movement, but her work extends much further. Noted as one of the most important living artists to come out of Japan, Kusama's works span from installation art, to sculpture, to fashion. From October 1919 - March 2020, the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields hosted Infinitely Kusama, an exhibit featuring one of the artist's extraordinary Infinity Rooms.
