    Robert Indiana

    Robert Indiana (1928-2018) was born in New Castle, Indiana and grew up in Indianapolis. His work is associated with the pop art movement. He created works in media including silkscreen and Cor-ten steel. His LOVE print, first created for the MoMA's Christmas card in 1965, was the basis for his 1970 Love sculpture. Visitors can view Robert Indiana's original Love sculpture inside the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields.
