The Alhambra Palace was first constructed in the mid-1300s, on the edge of Granada in Spain, for the last Muslim Emirs (kings) in Spain and the Nasrid Dynasty. Later, in the 16th century, it was renovated and modified for King Charles V. As a result, European features mingle with some of the finest examples of Moorish architecture in the world.
