Ramindjeri Water Dreaming Socks
Ramindjeri Water Dreaming Socks is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
These cotton socks feature artwork by Cedric Varcoe, inspired by the Dreamtime story of the creation of the Hindmarsh River and its surrounding valleys. In this tale, an ancestor noticed the lack of freshwater in the land and used a tree to bring water to the surface, creating the river that still flows today. As the ancestors gathered in the Hindmarsh Valley for a great ceremony, their dancing feet shaped the landscape, forming water ponds that provided fresh drinking water. This artwork connects to the land's deep history and the cultural significance of water in Ngarrindjeri tradition.
