This colorful enamel pin evokes Claude Monet's (French, 1840–1926) famous garden at Giverny. In 1893, Monet a passionate horticulturist, purchased land there with a pond, where he built his water-lily garden. In the summer of 1899 he completed 12 paintings of views of the wooden footbridge over the pond.
